SwimAmerica Sri Lanka is not just a swimming club; itβs a technical school for the water. Managed by the elite Killer Whale Aquatics (KWA) team, it uses a world-recognized, station-based curriculum designed by the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA).
Why Itβs the βTechnical Trainingβ Choice
Unlike many schools that teach by age group, SwimAmerica groups students by skill level across 10 distinct stations. This means kids move at their own pace and only advance when they have mastered a specific technique. This approach results in swimmers who are not just βconfidentβ but also technically efficient in all four strokes.
The Curriculum
The program is divided into levels:
- Preschool (30β60 Months): Small groups of 2β4 focus on submersion and floating.
- Fundamentals (Ages 5+): Focus on the building blocks of freestyle, backstroke, and breathing.
- Stroke School: Technique refinement for competitive pathways.
Parent Tips
- The Hotline: Use their dedicated hotline (+94 11 2055529) for enrollment; they are very responsive.
- Assessment: Every new student goes through a skill assessment to find the right station.
- Waitlist: Because of their reputation, there is often a waitlist. We recommend applying 1β2 months before you want your child to start.
