A dedicated LEGO play station inside Odel where kids can build and play for free while parents shop. Small but brilliant.

LEGO Play Corner at Odel — A Tiny Gem for Builders

Tucked inside the children’s section of Odel’s flagship store on Alexandra Place is a dedicated LEGO play corner — and for LEGO-loving kids, it’s a delightful little find.

What’s Available

The corner has two LEGO play tables stocked with:

  • Duplo blocks for younger children (ages 2-5)
  • Standard LEGO bricks for older kids (ages 5+)
  • A few themed LEGO sets (vehicles, buildings) opened for play
  • Base plates for building on

It’s a small space — realistically, 3-4 children can play comfortably at the same time. But for kids who love building, those limitations don’t matter. Our 5-year-old has happily sat here for 30+ minutes building cars and towers while we browsed the clothing racks nearby.

The Strategic Parent Move

Here’s the real value of the LEGO corner: it’s a strategic parenting tool. Need to try on clothes? Pop the kids at the LEGO table. Need to browse without someone tugging your arm? LEGO corner. It’s right in the children’s section, so you can keep visual contact while shopping.

Linking It to LEGO Purchases

Odel stocks LEGO sets for sale right next to the play corner. This is, of course, a deliberate retail strategy — and yes, it works. Our kids have “discovered” sets they “absolutely need” while playing at the table. Fair warning: budget accordingly.

Our Verdict

The LEGO Play Corner is a micro-destination — not worth a special trip, but genuinely useful if you’re at Odel. For creative kids who prefer building over climbing, it’s actually better than the nearby general play corner. Free, clean, air-conditioned, and conveniently located. We rate it 3.7 out of 5 — brilliant concept, just needs to be bigger.
