The Sandwich Factory is an American-style diner that has gone above and beyond to cater to families. The retro 1950s decor is fun for everyone, but the play facilities are the real standout.

Double Play Spaces

Unusually for a Colombo restaurant, The Sandwich Factory offers two distinct play areas:

  • Indoor Toy Room: A glass-enclosed, air-conditioned room filled with toys, blocks, and activities. It’s “baby-proofed” and perfect for keeping toddlers safe and cool.
  • Outdoor Climber: A larger climbing frame and play area outside, great for older children who need to burn off energy.

Diner Classics

The menu is exactly what you’d expect: great burgers, thick shakes, and a huge variety of sandwiches. Their dedicated kids’ menu offers smaller portions of family favorites.

4.0 out of 5 — One of the most genuinely “kid-centric” restaurants in the city. It’s a fantastic, stress-free option for a family lunch.
